Optical bonding

Optical bonding is the connection of a cover lens to a display by means of a filling adhesive. The connection can be made using a liquid glue or foil. Optical bonding improves the readability of the display and provides better protection against condensation between the cover and the display. Optical bonding ensures that the user is less bothered by the reflection of the sunlight on the screen. Optical bonding is often used for applications that are placed outside and/or in a wet environment.
