IPS (In-Plane Switching) is a type of LCD display technology known for its superior viewing angles and color reproduction. Unlike older technologies such as TN, IPS provides a consistent and clear image even when the screen is viewed from a sharp angle, which is essential for picture quality.
Touch functionality is a separate feature, achieved by placing a touch-sensitive layer on top of the display panel. Screen technology (such as IPS, TN or OLED) and the presence of a touch layer are two independent features of a display. They can be combined, but are not the same thing.
An 'IPS touch display' combines the advantages of both technologies. It offers the outstanding image quality, vivid colors and wide viewing angles of an IPS panel, combined with the direct and intuitive interaction of a touchscreen. This combination is standard in many modern laptops, tablets and smartphones.
At Dytos, we understand that each industry has specific requirements for touch solutions. That's why we offer a wide range of products and services designed to meet these diverse needs.
